O crescimento do mercado livre, da geração fotovoltaica e o retorno dos leilões estão dentre os fatores que justificam esse investimento.\u003C/span\u003E\u003Cbr\u003E\r\n\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOutros dados, agora do\u003Cb\u003E \u003Ca href=\"https://www.unep.org/pt-br/noticias-e-reportagens/press-release/investimentos-em-energia-renovavel-alcancarao-us-25-trilhoes\" target=\"_blank\"\u003ERelatório de Tendências Globais de Investimento em Energia Renovável 2019\u003C/a\u003E\u003Csup\u003E3\u003C/sup\u003E\u003C/b\u003E, revelam que nos últimos 10 anos, a capacidade de produção de energias renováveis quadruplicou no mundo. Foram cerca de U$ 2,5 trilhões em investimentos em fontes como energia eólica, biomassa, hidrelétrica e, sobretudo, solar. Esta última, teve mais gigawatts instalados no mundo do que qualquer outra tecnologia de geração energética.\u003C/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHá, ainda, fontes limpas e menos tradicionais que estão recebendo atenção para sua viabilização, como o hidrogênio verde, resíduos sólidos urbanos e a eólica offshore. Por outro lado, é importante frisar que nesse processo de diversificação da matriz, os combustíveis fósseis ainda terão um papel importante uma vez que as fontes renováveis possuem intermitência devido ao tipo de recurso natural utilizado para geração, como o sol (energia solar) e o vento (energia eólica).
